Another Brazilian Gun

I have completed the second Brazilian artillery piece.

Once again this is an Armstrong gun, loading this time, and has some nice touches with a gunner with his hand in the breech screw and another about to insert the shot into the breech.

There will be another couple of Brazilian guns at some stage, when the Perrys turn out the other field guns, and I will need a mountain gun, of course.

As we settle into another lockdown I wish I had a few more sets like this on hand.

    1. Thank you Jonathan. I am keen to see these on a table, but need a few more pieces yet - some Paraguayan generals and some Argentine artillery for example. And maybe some Uruguayan troops?

  3. I really like this one as the figures loading the gun are really rather nice:). Fingers crossed you come out of lockdown soon. Cases are still above average here in Bristol, but most people still wearing face masks when shopping, from the little I've seen. We won't know how things are looking really until the schools go back and Autumn arrives.

    1. It is indeed a nice set. This lockdown is a bit of a shock to us since there has been no community infection here for six months. The most annoying thing for me is that the long weekend we had planned starting Friday has been canned, although luckily we managed to get full refunds.

  5. Lovely work Mark and the black outline on the red red stripe really makes it stand out against the khaki uniform. I hope your snap lockdown keeps a lid on things.

    1. Thanks Lawrence. I have a feeling that this lockdown will be longer than a week. I just wish the media would just report the facts and stop speculating and scaremongering.

The red facings on the khaki uniforms work really well…
