This page is the commercial side of my blog.
It lists a number of scratch built buildings that I have for sale.
This is not a full blown commercial operation. I am not out to make a fortune and that is reflected in my pricing structure, but rather looking for something to keep me busy in the evenings that pays for itself and maybe buys a few bottles of wine.
I will maintain an inventory of four or five models available for sale at any one time on a first come, first served basis. When an item sells I will make another to keep up that inventory of four to five models. The type of buildings will be entirely at my whim and pricing will include shipping. Models will generally be in 28mm scale, but there maybe the occasional foray into 15mm.
I am not going to go to the effort of setting up an e-commerce site and all transactions will be via direct credit or PayPal and orders can be placed though this email address:
The base price is in New Zealand dollars, postage included, but an approximate price is provided for Australian, US and Canadian dollars, UK Pounds and EU Euros at the exchange rate (mid-rate) at the time of posting for reference only.
NOTE: While the models are designed as one of a kind, if you are interested in a particular model that has been marked here as sold, contact me at the address above and I may be able to make a similar one, but some items will definitely be one of a kind.
Eastern European House (28mm scale)
This simple wooden house with a thatched roof features a covered porch that extends across half the front and most of one side. The base structure measures 120mm x 90mm (including the porch) and stands on a textured base measuring 150mm x 200mm. This model does not have a removable roof.

Eastern European House and Barn - in one (28mm scale)
This model features textures of stone, wood and stucco, with a removable thatched roof. It is built on this model I made twelve years ago. The barn is on the lower level, recessed into a small hill, while the living quarters occupy the second level and the loft. A set of stone stairs provides access to the second level and a wooden storage shed is built onto one side. This is quite a large building with an overall height of 135mm and a footprint for the main structure of 100mm by 60mm, and stands on a 200mm by 150mm fully textured base.

Eastern European Cottage (28mm scale)
This is a simple cottage. It might be found anywhere from Russia to East Prussia, and as far south as Austria or the Balkans. If a real estate salesman was selling this they might describe this model as a quaint thatched cottage, the rendered exterior is in need of some TLC, but with a large garden contained within hedges and fences, sporting the latest conveniences (the outhouse in an corner of the garden). It has some interesting surfaces, measures 85mm x 100mm with a removable roof and stands on a fully textured base measuring 200mm x 150mm.

Russian Orthodox Church (28mm scale) |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus (right) is located on the eastern shore of Lake Onega (330km NE. of St Petersburg). Supposedly built by the monk Lazarus in the second half of the 14th century the church became the first building of the future Murom Monastery. Later, after Lazarus was named a local saint, the church became an attraction for pilgrims because of its reputation for miraculously cures. It was a small church with a footprint of only 9 by 3 metres (29.5 ft × 9.8 ft) - you can judge just how small from the image. It is an interesting structure to model as it has various textures from its stone base, many different styles of woodwork and a simple yet elegant dome. The model is built more or less to the scale of the original church and measures 140mm long by 45mm wide and measuring 130mm to the top of the spire. It stands on a simple base measuring 200mm x 120mm, fully textured, atop a slight rise. The model does not have a removable roof, but the spire is removable.

Borodino Village House One (28mm scale)
This is one of three that I have built based on images of the village of Semyanovskaya from the Borodino Panorama. These buildings could be used for any conflict in Russia from the 1600s to the 1940s. This one consists of two structures - the house and a low stable. Both are rustic, wooden structures with simple thatched roofs and contained with in a roughly fenced yard. A store of grain is stacked in sacks against the walls of the house and a store of hay is beside the stable. The house has a removable roof, but the stable does not. Although based on the buildings around the Borodino battlefield, these buildings could be used for any conflict in Russia from the 1600s to the 1940s.

Borodino Village House Two (28mm scale)
This, the second of the Borodino set, is simpler than the first. It is a rustic, wooden structure with a wooden roof and contained in a roughly fenced yard with a small garden. There is some household clutter around the propert . The house has a removable roof.

Borodino Village House Three (28mm scale)
This, the third of the Borodino set, is a single, but larger structure. Again it is rustic, wooden structure that has been extended since its original build, with simple thatched roof, contained with in a fenced yard and with a potato patch in the back. The main part of the house has a removable roof.
