Returning to the French FPW army here are the two field batteries that will accompany Bataille's Second Infantry Division, Captain Bobet's 7th Battery, 5th Regiment and Captain Benoit's 8th Battery, 5th Regiment.
The mitrailleuse battery that finishes the division's artillery complement is completed, but not yet based.
I'm not sure if it is just my imagination, but the French guns look sleeker than the Prussian artillery of the era. Perhaps it is just because these are in darker colours, which is more slimming. They look great as usual Mark.
ReplyDeleteIt's that French style...they look smart, but did not perform as well. It's a shame that the could not be said if their rugby team that trashed us in the first game of the Workd Cup.
DeleteAt least you weren't beaten by both Wales and Fiji. I'm glad I didn't add a Stan subscription to the other half a dozen we seem to have just to watch that rubbish. Sayonara Eddie Jones.
DeleteAwww but Eddie provides so much humour for the rest of world rugby. England v Fiji will be interesting.
DeleteVery nice Mark…
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to the grand battery pictures…
All the best. Aly
Thanks Aly, it should be just as impressive...in fact there will be one more gun set than the Prussians.
DeleteExcellent looking French artillery, lovely stuff!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. There are another nine gun sets waiting in the queue.
DeleteIt's not my period Mark but the models are impressive in so many ways. Excellent painting, great animation and basing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. The Perrys do some wonderful gun sets.
