Today the conveyer belt delivers a freshly uniformed unit of Argentine lancers. This is the second and possibly the final Argentine cavalry unit...that is unless Alan Perry makes some of the more exotic cavalry types.
Following the Argentinians on the conveyer belt are some more Paraguayan militia cavalry, but they are for next week.
More lovely work on the Argentinian cavalry Mark - they look ready to give the All Blacks another hiding!
ReplyDeleteNo...can’t have that...not another day of National mourning and media frenzy because the All Black lost a game of rugby football.! Couldn’t bear it!!!
DeleteConveyor belt? At the rate you churn out units, it certainly seems your figures are moving through your painting production line on a conveyor belt! Great looking cavalry.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan. It will slow down soon...the lead/plastic mountain is almost exhausted.
DeleteNice work once again Mark. I hate painting cavalry so hats off to you for doing so many!
ReplyDeleteIts the bridles and equipment I dislike about cavalry...getting near the end of this phase of the project with just a half dozen troopers to go.
DeleteYeah, I hate painting horse tack as well.
DeleteYep, those are the bits I hate too' Luckily in 10mm you can get away with missing quite a lot of tack:)
DeleteI did some of the tack on the Paraguayan militia unit with the contrast ‘Snakebite Leather’ and it came up really well. I will probably do the same on the second militia unit.
DeleteAnother superb regiment Mark, congrats!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil.
DeleteLovely, slightly more formal looking south American cavalry, very nice and could also be useful in Ruritania, prisoner of Zenda?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. Yes they have that authoritative look about them, don’t they?
DeleteNice stuff Mark. I think you may be safe on any additional Argentine Cavalry from the Perrys, although they are butterflies and sculpt things which they enjoy so who knows. I still live in hope that they will one day do 28mm Napoleonic Swedes.
ReplyDeleteWell they do have Swedes, but early Napoleonic Swedes (not the 1813 uniform) and I am keen on them (although the thought of all that grey is a little off-putting), but I need some appropriate pre-1809 Russians (Brigade Games have a nice range of these, but pricey in this part of the world - miny you with the current state of the US$ who knows) to oppose them in Finland and some Norwegians for the western front...the latter can of course be drawn from the Perry Danish range. So many armies, so little time...and there are still 1015 days until my retirement.
DeleteMark those look great, this is turning into quite a collection.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Stu
Thanks Stu...just about to place an order for the last of the infantry for the project.
