Yesterday I finished the bases of the four French and one Prussian divisional command stands.
For the French I have used the Canrobert figure that came free when I bought three boxes of FPW figures (did I really buy 12 boxes?), a couple of which had arm and head changes, and then supplemented the stands with Uruguayan and Argentine generals from Great Paraguayan War war ranges - with some conversion work. Like the foot commands, the conversions are probably not strictly correct, but the will pass.
The Prussian stand contains the free Steinmetz figure and the mounted colonel from the Prussian Officers set.
There are more mounted command, particularly for the Prussians, to come.
Some lovely work on these Mark!
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith.
DeleteThese look great
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil!
DeleteVery solid looking leaders. Your forces are very useful for the next game with these at the front.
ReplyDeleteThanks Joe...a few more things to go yet.
DeleteLovely work again Mark, really nice command stands, very nicely based too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie...I work on the theory that a good basing job covers up a mutlitude of sins in the painting...😂
DeleteLovely figures and I always like the way you do your bases. Do you have any twigs left in the back yard?
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence. I have a never ending supply of twigs thanks to the neighbour's intrusive plants...failing that my daily walk takes me through the local park that has a nice area of bush with many suitable plants.
DeleteLooks nice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Stew.
DeleteMore excellent additions Mark:)! Being able to dip into other ranges as a stop gap is of course good, along with the odd minor conversion too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve, but it would be nice to have some proper generals...
