Some Big Guns

Completed over last weekend are seven big siege pieces. These are the 3D printed models left over from the batch I did for the Paraguayan army. My plan is to use these for ACW games so at some point I will need to sort out some crew for them. Of the two mortars, I intend to put one in a fixed position and the other will be mounted on a railway car.

  2. They really are big and impressive. I love the blackened iron look you have achieved with them Mark, very effective.

    1. In truth it is simply black with some GW Leadbelcher drybrushed. I reall just wanted to catch the edges and the bolts. Super quick to paint.

    1. Indeed he would. He would have had them all neatly lined up, behind nicely made emplacements and would be ready to light the blue touch paper just as the Confederates marched out of range…

  4. Those are great guns and it reminds me that I bought some 10mm ones based upon a previous post of yours. Too many projects, too little time...
