Completed over last weekend are seven big siege pieces. These are the 3D printed models left over from the batch I did for the Paraguayan army. My plan is to use these for ACW games so at some point I will need to sort out some crew for them. Of the two mortars, I intend to put one in a fixed position and the other will be mounted on a railway car.
Those DEFINITELY are some big guns!
ReplyDeleteThey really are big and impressive. I love the blackened iron look you have achieved with them Mark, very effective.
ReplyDeleteIn truth it is simply black with some GW Leadbelcher drybrushed. I reall just wanted to catch the edges and the bolts. Super quick to paint.
DeleteGeneral McClellan would approve. 😀
ReplyDeleteIndeed he would. He would have had them all neatly lined up, behind nicely made emplacements and would be ready to light the blue touch paper just as the Confederates marched out of range…
DeleteThose are great guns and it reminds me that I bought some 10mm ones based upon a previous post of yours. Too many projects, too little time...
ReplyDeleteI agree about the shortness of time…seems to get less every year.
DeleteYes, they are very nice models, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI will order the crew in a week or two. I have started the emplacements for them.
DeleteNice work, looking forward to seeing these tubes in action. Spot on remark about McClellan.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Yes McClellan was a curious character to be sure.
DeleteImpressive additions to your arsenal Mark…
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
Thanks Aly. I need to find a game to use them in now.
DeleteImpressive big guns,Looking forward to them crewed and in your as always Impressive scratch built emplacements!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. With the lead pile rapidly diminishing I have started on the emplacements.
