The Last of the Swedish Artillery

This post, the last of the artillery for the Swedish Napoleonic collection, is another selection from the basing backlog.

These represent the artillery reserve of the Finnish Army and is made up of:

  • lst Light 6pdr Foot Section
  • 2nd Light 6pdr Foot Section
  • lst Light 3pdr Foot Section
The Perrys do not make 3lb guns so all are modelled here as 6lb guns. These batteries only comprised of 4 guns as opposed to normal batteries of 6 guns, so in any game they will be rated as small batteries.

Left in this project are four infantry battalions of the Abo lans and Tavastehus Regiments.

  1. Very nice Mark....who do the Swedes get to fight in this era? The Russians....? Or did they join the Grand Alliance and fight against France in the 1813-15 period?

  2. They look great Mark. I'm still hanging on in the hope that the Perrys will do later Swedes, but my resolve weakens every time I see your work on the earlier figures.

    1. Thanks Lawrence. The Swedes are nice. I have another battalion in the bank, just waiting to be based. I do prefer them in the blue coats, but in the 1807-9 period they were grey, but for a few units.

    1. Thanks Joe. The collection is getting close to completion…as much as completion doesn’t really mean an end!

    1. Ha ha…in this case I can be pretty certain it will be the last of the artillery because I have represented every battery that was present…now the infantry is a different story…
