A Second FPW Prussian Battalion and yet more AWI British

Last night I finished the Second Battalion, 74th (1st Hanoverian) Regiment, well almost finished…this batch has been sitting around on the painting table for a while awaiting the arrival of the five recruits required to finish the last stand that are still enroute from Nottingham. Hopefully that parcel will arrive soon, not only to finish off this unit, but so that the lead/plastic pile is not completely flattened.

Also completed is the 57th Foot. There is just one more line battalion to go for this collection, to be followed by one unit of combined grenadiers and a couple of gun sets - also enroute.

  1. Nice work as always, Mark! Say, I picked a little booklet authored by you on ebay this week on Second Bull Run.

    1. Wow that is a blast from the past, I think I wrote those back in 1992…and pre-digital printing, the layouts were literally cut and paste!

  4. Two excellent units there Mark:). I hope to start on my ImagiNations/1848 Prussians soon so that I can get a game in with them.

    1. Thanks Steve. 1848 would be interesting…lots of street fighting in pretty German towns.

  6. Lovely work Mark, and the production line seems to be back up to full speed (at least for figures that aren't part of the undisclosed project). I wish I was down to my last 29 figures, although this has been my most disciplined year with regard to hobby purchases.

    1. Yes I am fluttering around a bit. While the pile is low now I have a LOT coming…in excess of 500 figures across four projects…the result of being locked down and saving somewhere in the vicinity of $150 a week on petrol, lunches and coffees.

  7. Splendid looking toys Mark…
I can’t imagine being down to my last 23 figures 😁

    All the best. Aly

    1. Thanks Aly. This is one of those times that I doubt the wisdom of a just in time ‘production line’. The postal services are so unreliable at present.
