Out of the Ruins...

Today saw the completion of the fourth and last rural winter ruin. It is a fairly straightforward rectangular structure capable of fitting a T34 tank inside.

Then, despite it being 24°C and 95% relative humidity here today, it snowed...

Also, over the weekend the Austrian and Italian Navies from 1866 took to sea again. It was another bad day for the Italian Navy.

  2. I really like the charred effect on the ruins Mark. Good to see the navies back in action. They are seeing a fair bit of combat lately.

    1. Strangely I was asked if I actually burned the models...but it is just drybrushing!

I figured that the naval game would be over in an hour or so, but it lasted nearly four. It was a lot of fun.

  5. Another lovely building Mark, and as always, love seeing what you do on the scratch building front:). Great to see the ships in action again and a bonus for the Austrians to get a win!

    1. Thanks Steve. That is two wins a row for the Austrian Navy!

  6. So many ruins you've made now for this village/town/settlement... someone really must have tried to level the place with a concerted Nebelwerfer/Katyusha bombardment.

Saying that, it's another smashing piece sir. Nicely done.

That naval game looks striking too. All that meticulously applied rigging.... wow!

    1. I agree it has taken quite a hit! The ships are fun, although some of that rigging needs a bit of maintenance....
