So another year has gone.
The year has seen work on five projects: Austrian, French and Ottoman Napoleonics, American Civil War and terrain tiles. The completion of six Swedish generals can't really be called a project. The end result is:

Or graphically:
On the gaming front there were fourteen games played: four, Napoleonic, two WWII, two AWI, one each of American Civil War, 1920's Afghanistan, War of Spanish Succession, Imjin War, the Sudan and English Civil War.
So with painting dropping away the goal for the year is to play more games.
Always enjoy seeing your year-end painting tally. Even with a reduction in output, 6,500 painting points is still off the charts for mere mortals. Increased gaming in 2025 is a good goal. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSounds about right, play after painting. Like dessert after vegetables!
ReplyDeleteYour output is still very impressive Mark, even with your conscious decision to limit purchases. I try to balance gaming and painting, but generally fail completely! In 2025 I want to try and link both, with the gaming driving the need to paint more units etc. One can but hope!
ReplyDeleteAlthough scaling back your painting that is still an enviable amount of miniatures/terrain done over the year and at such a high standard too. Best of luck with your plan for more games, I hope you succeed as they are always great to see once they are on the blog, so many great photo to pore over!
ReplyDeleteStill a productive year Mark. It's funny how the passage of time can play tricks as I was sure there would be some FPW figures in this year's tally, but that must have been last year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence. What was surprising to me was how long ago I did the Swedes. The only project in the plan this year will be the Revolutionary French...for use in Egypt.
DeleteA very good plan for 2025, Mark.....I hope to emulate it, even if I have to resort to solo games!
ReplyDeleteI expect about half of the games this year will be solo.
