The occasional ramblings of a historical wargamer
The lead/plastic pile restored!
The first six figures have made it to the painting queue…
I agree! Boxes of figures on the doorstep bring happiness and opportunity.
And very welcome after a difficult day!
A delivery of toy soldiers always makes me smile !
Certainly does…still smiling from it.
MORE Austrians....between us, we will have a 1:1 scale representation of the Napoleonic era Austrian army, shortly!
I figure if we have enough of them they might be able to win one day.
Nothing better than a few new toys to brighten an otherwise crummy day.
Agreed!!
Always nice when an order turns up, which can be tricky given our postal strikes this Winter. Good it cheered you up after difficult day.
In truth I had allowed another week for them to arrive, given the recent issues, so it was a very sweet surprise.
I'd recognise those Perry cardboard boxes anywhere, with the 1/2 and 2/2 marked on them. Two of them fell on me on Sunday day as I was rummaging through my lead pile.
I get them out of the larger boxes and get the boxes into the recycle bin as fast as possible to avoid awkward questions from Domestic Control.
5/10 to get miniatures. 6/10 if I got them for a good price. 9/10 major happiness if they’re painted by someone else. 😀
And maybe 10/10 if they at victorious on their first outing?
I agree! Boxes of figures on the doorstep bring happiness and opportunity.
