Trooping the Colours

Four weeks ago, when I finished the last unit of the Swedish Army in Finland, I promised a parade when time permitted. Well time has permitted so here it is.

Ooops…not that parade…that is the real Swedish military band that I watched during a changing of the guard at the Swedish Military Museum in Stockholm back in May 2015….

Here is MY parade…counting sixteen infantry units, two cavalry and nine artillery (172 foot figures, 24 mounted and seven guns).

  3. Well worth a parade Mark. They look great individually and terrific en masse. It is a decent-sized army and reminds me I must get back to clearing some more of my backlog.

    1. The parade has been intended for a while, but a day off enabled it. I think this makes a manageable size for an army.

    1. Well a parade is what attracted me to soldiers all those years ago and I guess it will until I shuffle off.

  8. Wow, that is quite the army. Considering how small the war was you must have enough units to do any battle that occurred in that one?

    1. Thanks. More than enough…most of the actions involved no more than half a dozen units.
