Savolaks Jagare Regemente - Part Two

Back in March I completed the first of four tiny units on the Savolaks Jägers (link). Readers may recall that this regiment was represented in the field in 1807-1809 by four units each of two companies and that I have chosen to represent the with as tiny battalions of two stands of six figures each.

Here then are the remaining three battalions of the regiment…



…and all four battalions together.


Next in this collection is another two tiny units of the Savolaks infantry regiment, then another jäger unit to complete the Savolaks Brigade. They might be done b6 the end of the month.

    Great brushwork, I do like your reasoning for the size and number of battalions . The attention to detailing the stands is also impressive. Looking forward to an AAR where the unit appears.

      I think the smaller unit size is the right solution. I am really looking forward to the day when we can play games again!

    I do like their pale blue grey uniforms which are rather fetching, despite their simplicity:). Excellent work as always.

      Yes I like the light grey of the Savolaks brigade over the darker grey if the line regiments.

    Excellent job on these jaegers! I like the pike grey uniform a lot. Interesting that Sweden was not alone in putting their jaegers in pike grey.
