This is the first of six battalions (supported by the two light guns - images of which were posted last week - one horse gun and six mounted officers) that is the French in Egypt expansion.
The battalion completes the 22e since two battalions were completed earlier in the year.
Very nice Mark...
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for the sapper in his bearskin...
All the best. Aly
Thanks Aly. I thought much the same...when I was painting it I kept thinking "it ain't half hot mum"...but in French of course.

ReplyDeleteYes it is nearing completion now.
DeleteThe French in their colorful Kleber uniform look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan. Currently working on the 4e Légère with green coats and puce facings. I am trying to decide which of the line units to do next - red with green facings is winning sonfar.
DeleteGreat work on these. Will you be doing a grand parade of each contingent when you have completed them?
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand idea...I do so love a parade.
