Austrian Artillery

After finishing the first of the Austrian infantry, I have painted a couple of gun sets: a 6-pound set and a howitzer set.

A 12-pound set is waiting to be worked on.

    1. Thanks Jonathan. They are nice models to work with. Nice to see at least one person has found their way to this post!

    3. And I found yours because I thought "...four days and Jonathan hasn't posted?"...so I tapped on 'newer posts' and there you were.

  3. Fine work there Mark and I do love the brown uniforms and ochre yellow carriages combo:). Your post wasn't here at 9.00am UK time, rather like Jon's the other side of the pond. It appears the time lag delay is occuring again:(.

  4. These look really nice. Artillery pieces and their crews always provide interesting vignettes (either on the table, shelf, or in a glass case) regardless of specific period.

    Kind Regards,

  6. This whole posting situation on Blogger is annoying indeed. Good thing my courtroom has been quiet so I've had lots of opportunities to keep refreshing my feeds LOL

Back on topic - your battery looks great Mark. I'm not familiar with Austrian uniforms outside of the obvious "Whites", so from a layman's point of view, these are rather good indeed.

    1. Thanks Dai. I would like to do some Hungarian units...with their light blue pants they make a but of variety in the sea of white.

  8. Beautiful work Mark, and the post was there for me this morning. Really makes you wonder why Google are so slow in addressing this issue.

    1. Thanks Lawrence. It took about 12 hours. I suspect that they don't see it as an urgent ticket...much the same as they are letting the visitors stats get corrupted by bots...I am getting an average of 12,000 visitors a day!

  9. Great work Mark - I enjoyed painting the Austrian artillery when I was "doing" that project - the tan-brown uniforms are quite striking.

    1. Me too. That brown uniform is a nice variant...one gun to go.
