Prussian Generals

A shortage of mounted Prussian generals in the Perry FPW range has compelled me to make some conversions.

Now these conversions involve quite a bit of kit bashing and are far from perfect - any button counters will find a multitude of errors, but they will do until such time as the Perrys (or others) turn out suitable generals.

First is the command for VII Corps that was painted earlier and is based here.

Next to be based are the cavalry generals. I have one cavalry brigadier already so there is need for one divisional leader and two brigadiers tio finish off the 6th Cavalry Division. Here I chose to do some additional conversion on the divisional stand. I found this image of the commander, von Rheinbaben, and chose to try to replicate his whiskers.

The two remaining brigadiers have been put in more heroic poses.

I had completed one infantry division earlier so there is only one required.

Then there are the four infantry brigadiers.

Finally I have based up the two Bavarian infantry brigadiers.

This finishes everything in the Franco-Prussian pile for a while (well, there are a few odds and sods still kicking around in the plastic pile), but at least I now have command for all the units that might permit me to actually get these figures on a gaming table.

  1. They look perfectly fine to me Mark, and who knows if the Perry's will ever get around to finishing off any of their ranges....they seem to have the common wargamers "butterfly " affliction, just at the other end of the supply chain.... and some time soon, they will probably want to retire and just concentrate on playing with all the toys they have amassed!
