Dammit!

Given that the Franco-Prussian War is perhaps my greatest interest this is going to be serious injurious to my bank balance!

    1. Oh it will happen...the magpie will not be able to resist this...thankfully the release date will probably be towards the end of the year so current projects will be closing out.

  2. Interesting, for sure, but I went the 15mm route for this conflict. This is no threat to my wallet!

  3. You know you want too 'it.' you know you will love the figures.
You know you'll do a good job.
You will finish these before I get my Napoleonic Swedes done.

    1. I suspect that I will never be finished collecting FPW. The Swedes interest me too.

  4. It's always nice to have something new to look forward to. I'm hopeful that the Perry's will do Napoleonic Swedes at some point, although I don't really need another project to be tossed on the pile.

    1. I too am keen on the Swedes, but to do the 1807-1809 campaign will need some Russians and very few manufacturers make figures for that period (at a reasonable price).

  5. I gave up with the poor 28mm showing and ended up opting for 15mm. Glad I have but as mainly 28mm enthusiast I would definitely have joined your madness. Looking forward to your future Perry FPW posting.

    1. I once had a massive Foundry collection in the 1980s that I sold in the late 90s. I have built up a smaller force since so this gives me the option for megalomania!

  6. Mark - you already have hundreds of FPW figures - think of all the other periods you haven't done yet - how about the Prussian/Danish War - Eureka do a few figures for that conflict??

    1. There aren’t as many FPW as you might think - particularity in the French since one of the group sold their collection and my force is desperately short of command figures. The Danes are certainly an option that I have been considering, but the NorthStar range is more complete and better priced than Eureka.

  8. Oh now that is really interesting, I'm sure you'll have finished them in no time once they're out!

    1. Way, way back when I was building my first FPW army I was able to crack through 28 Prussian figures in a day. I couldn't do it now...six is my standards rate...ten at a pinch.
