47th Regiment of Foot

The British Crimean expansion continues with the addition of the 47th foot to the collection.

This is the second to last battalion of the expansion.

Next up, some more French Crimean cavalry.

    1. Yes we should. There is one scheduled for Tarawera of course...and yes I will need your Light Division.

    2. Hopefully they are not left to face half the Russian army on their own next time!

  2. Nice work Mark, and they have a lot of character about them. Are the standards of the era, or Napoleonic (not that there would be much appreciable difference I would imagine)?

    1. The standards were very similar (and I have used the Napoleonic flags) but should carry more battle honours.

    1. Thanks Stu. It is coming to a halt now as within the group we now have all but one division that served in the Crimea.

  4. Very nice Mark...as always.
North Star now have a very complete range of standards for the British in the Crimean.

    1. Thanks Aly. It is a shame that I have completed all my units now - including all thr British flags and it would be nigh on impossible to replace them all now.
