Last week brought a delivery of lead to the painting table in the form of a small parcel from Eureka Miniatures containing two battalions of Revolutionary French infantry.
The first one of those units, 2/48e Demi-Brigade de Battaille, is presented here.
The 3/48e will follow later this week.
Vive la revolution...
ReplyDeleteThey look splendid... I do like the flags from this period.
All the best. Aly
Thanks Aly. The flags are so wonderfully geometric and that makes them so easy to recreate on the computer.
DeleteLoving these early figures, great job!
ReplyDeleteI agree they have a lovely scruffiness to them, but still look as though they can do the business.
DeleteVery nice figures by Eureka Mark
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith.
DeleteExcellent brushwork, Mark! Just took at look at your lead pile. Only 18 figures? You are a model of just in time supply chain logistics. Very efficient. I am envious of your production and discipline.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan. You know the industry I am in and it is all JiT, or maybe just stumble from crisis to crisis. At the moment my supposed dicipline is more necessity...we spent too much over the last few months and I have needed to rein in spending, but a significant order has been placed to renew the lead pile.
DeleteTough looking,scruffy bunch! Nice finish!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Yes the are a rough and read bunch indeed.
DeleteAnother lovely unit. How many of these are you planning all up.
ReplyDeleteNot sure on the final size of this lot yet. Twelve units of foot is a descent size, but the variation is so nice and the range so broad that I don't know if I can apply that level of constraint.
