Napoleonic Fortress Guns, part two

Over the weekend I finished the first of the Spanish fortress guns.

The figures are from Brigade Games and for this set, intended to be ready to fire, three of the gunners are bracing for the gun's blast while the officer watches calmly.

Ready for the next couple of guns are another eight gunners.

Finally there is one more Spanish figure, again from Brigade Games - the general on foot, twisting his mousatche. I'm not quite sure how I am going to use him yet, but I'm sure I will find a way.

    1. How punderful of you to say Jonathan! While he is an excellent figure it is difficult to know just how to use a single foot figure as a general. I am sure I can find some use though.

  5. These are very nice figures by Brigade Mark - as always, I am in awe of your modelling skills in putting this little vignette together! I have been working on a flat boat myself but although it looks quite good to me, I am certain if you did the same thing, it would be exponentially better!

    1. Thanks Keith i really do like the Brigade Games ranges, but they are a bit more costly to land here. I also have some French gunners for the French fortress guns. I have plans for the flatboats probably in April/May. I am also looking at a brig.

  6. Very nice again Mark. Will these models feature as a major objective in a forthcoming game.

    1. Thanks Lawrence. I have the scenario figured out in my head and just need to commit it to paper now. I hope to be able to play it some time in April/May.

    1. Yes there is a lot of character in those gunners. I have a couple of sets of French gunners to do at some point for the French guns. I gues I had better get on and make more guns!

  8. Hmm - I have had plans for a Brig I found on the net sitting on my work bench for 2-3 months - thought I might be able to use it for some of Admiral Cockburn's raids in the War of 1812, as well as Hornbloeresque adventures around the Iberian Peninsula etc...but I have not started anything yet!

    1. I found a laser cut 28mm brig, but it is big - 30 inches long. A schooner or a cutter may be a better option.
