A concerted effort in the last week has seen the completion of the remaining 36 Woodland Indians.
Add to them the rebased Front Rank unit from 20 years ago...
...to get the whole 60 figures – 12 Front Rank and 48 Warlord.
I think the make a pretty formidable warband.
Formidable, for sure. Well painted, no doubt. I love ‘em! Seeing these tempts me to add some more natives to my FIW collection.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan. They were a welcome distraction after all of the red for the British in Egypt...another six battalions of whom were ordered this morning.
DeleteDynamic and colorful looking Indiens, impressive and very nice job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil. Glad you enjoyed them!
DeleteGreat work and a fine collection Mark. They do look rather impressive en mass.
ReplyDeleteI was similarly impressed by the mass...it is hard to envusage the mass when painting six sigures at a time!
DeleteGreat looking warband,lo lovely basing!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thanks Iain. I often find that good basing covers up a multitude of sins in the painting!
DeleteGreat job. I'm about to start a war party of 18 Crusader Indians and I'm a bit daunted. I suspect they will be quite demanding.
ReplyDeleteI was daunted too with 48 figures in front of me, but they turned out to be quite straightforward in the end with light tanned leather and earth colours being prominent. I just plugged away at six figures at a time.
DeleteGuaranteed to give even the hardiest of woodsmen a case of watery bowels
ReplyDeleteAll the best. Aly
I am anticipating the humour of watching grown men are standing around the table saying "whoop, whoop"...with or without other sound effects.
DeleteI’m hearing the soundtrack to the last of the Mohicans in my head. 😀
ReplyDeleteThey look great and we’re completed pretty quickly.
I just had to look that up on YouTube, djdn't I...Now I cant get the tune out of my head!
