More Retreat from Moscow Pieces

Painting on the Retreat from Moscow project has kicked off again for the year with the final pack in the French range. This is a group of mixed nationalities in skirmishing poses.

Also completed this week and finished in a winter setting is the Russian Opolochenie 3pdr gun, crew and limber set.

On the painting table is a unit of Opolochenie cavalry that should be completed by the middle of the week.

    1. Definately not! Living up here in Auckland , the city that global warming forgot, I am waiting for summer to start.

  3. Great job Mark, they should cool you down after a few weeks in Africa.
Let's hope the Perry Twins don't release too many new sets in the near future to allow you to keep on track.
    Cheers

    1. I am back in Africa again now, with the next building in this project - there are nine colonial plus 14 "native" village houses to go to complete this project, so this will stretch out over a few months.

The French part of the Retreat from Moscow collection is pretty much completed. There will be a few Russians to go.

  4. Lovely stuff Mark.

I purchased the same sets and they are very nice sculpts, although I have yet to lay a brush on them yet.

    1. Thanks Lawrence. I agree they are great little figures. I think I now have every one in the range. It has been a fun painting exercise, especially the Emperor's sleigh.
