First up is the 46th Regiment of Foot, the last of the British infantry for the Crimean War project. Still to come to complete the British Army are the remaining three regiments of the Light Cavalry Brigade. I had intended to complete these last month, but Great War have discontinued the hussars and light dragoons. I now need to find an alternative source, probably Foundry, which is a bit of a disappointment because I would have liked to kept the whole brigade made from the same manufacturer.
Next up is a regiment of Crimean War Russian line infantry. But this regiment us not complete, because I foolishly short ordered by two packs of line infantry so the other five stands (not shown here) still have a few gaps.
...and the pack of priests and monks, that will find a place in the next batch of Carlists.
Jeez mark. You're a painting machine!
ReplyDeleteYep. I need to get another 3 Russian infantry and 7 cavalry regiments and two French infantry regiments before the Tarawera weekend at the end of October. Truth be known, back in the day when I painted my original Franco-Prussian army in thecearly 1990's, I managed 28 figures a day!
DeleteGreat looking figures , your backdrop works well in the photos , Tony
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. You will notevthat I have used a new backdrop for some of these
DeleteYour first Carlist Wars units are awesome, the overall impression is stunning with the different poses and your work on the base...and, of course, the paint job!
ReplyDeleteThanks Phil. THe Carlist are really great to work with, but that footwear on the Carlist infantry is so difficult to make look right. Thankfully long grass helps conceal my poor work on them!
DeleteThey look wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rodger. Lots more on the painting table...
DeleteThanks to Stryker, whose comment I managed to delete.
