This completes a brigade, displayed here in all its glory with its new brigadier.

The great thing about these cuirassiers us that they all have the standard uniform - only the regimental number on buttons, etc, differentiate them, so the stands can be mixed and matched.
Next it back to Poland.

Very nice looking figures. Those AI backgrounds are interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The AI backgrounds are good, but do get a few things wrong. Often the scale is distorted, or it puts something quite weird in the image. But it does speed up background removal - to create a clipping path around that number of figures in PhotoShop would take considerable time...these took a minute each.
DeleteOutstanding work, Mark! The close-ups a fab! The AI-generated backdrops are nifty too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan. I am slowly finding uses for various AI tools. Image cleanup and manipulation is the most useful for me. I am an advanced Photoshop user, but AI just does the job so much quicker - if you give it the right instructions. I have avoided using it for writing anything because it is the creative aspect of writing a story that gives me joy. It is a useful tool for deeper research too, as long as you check the references.
DeleteNice work once more Mark, they look great and the two regiments together look the business!
ReplyDeleteLets hope that they do, do the business when they hit the table!
DeleteGreat work Mark. The assembled brigade looks very impressive. I also like how you have mastered AI. I keep ending up with two-headed riders and five-legged horses.
ReplyDeleteYes the AI does some odd stuff. If you look at the fifth picture down it has add a random figure out to the right. It frequently re-poses the figures, so a standard part of my instruction now is "...without changing the position of the models..."
DeleteCracking looking figures Mark, and I love the AI background, I might have to gave that a go myself!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ray...half way through them now.
DeleteThey look very impressive
ReplyDeleteThanks Neil...lets hope they look equally impressive riding down Prussian battalions...but probably not...
DeleteLovely, lovely work there Mark and I do love those 'classic' French colours for the uniforms that I remember as a kid. Nice work on the AI backgrounds too:).
ReplyDeleteThere is something about a unit in red pants!
DeleteSo beautiful, pity when they charge they will usually be shot to bits.....
ReplyDeleteHopefully they will do better than in real life!
DeleteHow many Cuirassier Regiments is that now, Mark?!
ReplyDeleteTwenty-three...number 24 is half done now...
