However, I must admit that the pain of working with yellow has been eased with my adoption of a wet palette. Gone is the problem of paint clagging on the brush that hindered the work on the first three battalions. Working with metallics is also easier.
With the eagle and the drapeau on the command base this will be the regiment's second battalion.
Next up will be s bit of a break from the Guard to complete something needed for next Sunday's game

The yellow has worked really well Mark, superb work once more, great looking regiment.
ReplyDeleteThanks Donnie. The yellow does really make them pop.
Deletesomething ?....
ReplyDeleteSeveral somethings, actually...should be on show on Thursday or Friday
DeleteAnother excellent work 👏
ReplyDeleteThank you Michal
DeleteYour work with the yellow paint has clearly earned it's reward. These look magnificent and probably deserve a better fate than the Prussians intend for them. I am really enjoying your recreating the Guard.

If Louis Napoleon did nothing else with his "Liberal Empire", he dressed his soldiers well!
DeleteI'm enjoying seeing your army develop. Another superb unit.
ReplyDeleteThanks. There are only a dozen or so units to go to complete this now huge collection and that WILL be it...unless I win the Lotto!
