Gunfighter's Ball

Today's game was a gunfight game using  Gunfighter's Ball rules. The figures, buildings and game set up were all the work of our friend Rick.

In the game the Earp brothers and Doc Holiday, assisted by a couple of other lawmen, took on the Clantons, while a strange man called Mysterious Dave and his hired gunman approached from the other of town with ill intent.

I don't remember all the details, but I do know that:
  • Doc Holiday died
  • Wyatt Earp killed Mysterious Dave and his hired gunman
  • Most of the Clantons were killed or seriously wounded.
And the photos...in no particular order (comments where applicable).

Weekend Wrap Up

Our wonderful week of gaming (well a little less for me) has come to an end for another year. I am back at home now over-fed and a little tired.

Below are a few images from the two other games that I participated in. I take pains to mention here that none of the figures shown here are mine. My contribution was a few burned out woods and some ruined buildings. All of the rest was created by the game organiser.

If you check out Keith’s blog (http://1808534.blogspot.com/) in the next day or so, I am sure he will have a broader range of images than I have here and will cover the two games I missed.

The Western Gunfight game..just a few shots through the town.

And the planning for next year has commenced.

Last Game of the Year

The final game of the year, the 25th game for the year, was a western gunfight game using the Gunfighters Ball rules.

The game involved two gangs, the Taylor Gang and the Dry Gulch Gang raiding the town of Doomsday where Wyatt Earp and his lawmakers waited.

After a bloody fight the forces of lawlessness won, with the Earps and Doc Holiday meeting their maker.

So to some pictures...

We played for four or five hour and enjoyed a glass or two of rosé on a sunny (albeit cool) day.
