Well I have finished the mounted generals for the French FPW army. In addition to the three infantry brigadiers completed a couple of weeks ago I have added:
- The corps command group of three mounted and two dismounted figures
- A divisional command group
- Three more brigadiers
Finally, for a bit of fun, I took this image of all the staff figures painted in the last few weeks...
...and asked Google Gemini to "...Extract the figures from the image then render them into a painting in the style of Édouard Detaille..."
It did a pretty good job, but the flag is too big - HQ fanions were only about 400mm square - and there are three system generated characters lurking in the background in odd looking uniforms.
Lovely work Mark, very nice command stands. AI picture looks great but it sure does some weird things like adding in figures that don't quite look right, fun though!

DeleteGreat work Mark and the AI image shows them off to great effect. If you had mentioned the strange disparities I don't think many would have noticed. I'll look forward to seeing someone putting it on Wikipedia and advocating it as a contemporary resource for French staff uniforms and dye colouring.

Thanks Stokes. In my rules the staff figures have a purpose...brigadiers assist with activation and senior commanders assist will rallying.
