A few more Dark Age figures have marched off the painting table in the last few days.
First is the second Saxon unit and the Saxon leaders.
And then the Vikings and their leaders.
Still to arrive to finish this collection are another 40 warriors and 30 archers, to be shared between the two sides.
Splendid colors and details as usual, they look superb, fierce, and so motivated!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil.
DeleteGreat looking figures Mark - maybe I will give in to that temptation to get a "few" plastic Normans....SIGH!
ReplyDelete...and so the trap draws you in...
DeleteVery nice work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rodges
DeleteImpressive Saxons and your recently completed buildings are fab!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan. The plan for the weekend is to work on the final house this series.
DeleteI have just been over in your neck of the woods for the past week and missed this and your previous couple of posts. Great stuff all of it, but I especially enjoyed the ECW report as I have a few Empress units lined up at the moment, so this has inspired me to get cracking with them.
ReplyDeleteI did send you an email to see if you may have been free for a beer or a coffee by the way, but wonder if it may have been caught in the old spam filter?
Strange, can't see anything in the spam trap. Is the address correct mark dot g dot strachan@me dot com? Would have been great to catch up.
DeleteBet you found it a bit cooler here than in BNE? Especially if you were here last Monday and Tuesday.
We were in Cambridge on Monday and Tuesday so yes, quite cold. We checked into De Bretts on Thursday morning however, and found that even colder, probably because of the cold breeze whistling up Shortland Street.
DeleteI think I may have missed the 'g' out of the email address so have sent another test email. Strange, as the first one didn't bounce. Anyway, If that works I'll keep it on file and hopefully we can catch up in another few months.
I bet it was cold in Cambridge...it was judt below zero at our place on both those days, but I agree that Thursday, with the fog, felt worse.
