Next...

The completion of this, my second battalion of grenadiers, marks the halfway point of my work on the guard. In fact its is just over halfway with six of the eleven battalions completed.

Astute readers, who have been paying attention and read my post about the Voltigeurs, will know that this is the First battalion of the regiment because it carries an all red fanion.

Next in the queue is another Voltigeur battalion, I am trying to alternate unit types to get some variety.

  2. Wonderful work there Mark, with the red working well and well done on being able to paint the eyes too, something I remember I could do as a teenager, but no chance now with my shaky hands!!!

    1. Thanks Steve. I must admit that I have not bothered with eyes in figures in the past, but these are such nice pieces that I couldn't not try. Plus I have new magnifying lenses to help. Nonetheless there are a number of figures in these battalions that have the Betty Turpin look!
