So Easter is upon us. What a strange Easter it is this year. In our house it was a quiet Good Friday....a couple of walks around the local park, watching the local family groups fly kites in the brisk southerly breeze, repointing a section of the roof and starting painting a couple of new units.
But in the pantry cupboards something was happening...
...strange there were only two this morning!
Off the painting table have come new units, again using the Perry plastics:
A Confederate infantry regiment
And another Union gun set
Great additions to your ACW project. Super basing on the gun.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jonathan. The artillery set is particularly nice and there is wonderful variety of poses arms and hats.
DeleteGreat looking units Mark. I wouldn't be too worried about those bunnies reproducing - I'd encourage it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nathan. Sadly there has been some bunny mortality since that image wast taken.
DeleteDo like the plastic Perry stuff - state of the art !
ReplyDeleteSure are, and so easy to convert to create a greater variety.
DeleteGlad to see you are putting the break to good use Mark.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking Rebs.
Cheers
Stu
Thanks Stu. Yes the painting is progressing well, but I am concerned about running low on brushes, paints and glue.
DeleteGreat work and, as Jonathan points out, the overhead view of the gun really highlights the terrific basing work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lawrence. The “drone view” caught my eye as I was seeing up so I thought I would just take the picture.
DeleteTwo more nicely finished units Mark...I particularly like the "aerial" view of the artillery piece
ReplyDeleteThanks Keith. I am increasingly impressed by those Perry plastic artillery.
DeleteVery nice Mark...
ReplyDeleteI do like the contrast between the ‘motley’ looking Rebels and the rather elegant Union artillery ...
All the best. Aly
Thanks Aly. Exactly the effect I was after! I like my Confederate troops to look motley. I have a feally lovely unit of zouaves on the table now and should be completed tomorrow.
